What is an SSIC Conversion Exercise?

The Singapore Standard Industrial Classification (SSIC) is the national standard for classifying business activities. The SSIC adopts the basic framework and principles of the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC).

The SSIC is reviewed and updated regularly to reflect the changes in the Singapore economy structure, the emergence of new activities, as well as to align with changes in international standards. The review and update of the SSIC is known as SSIC Conversion Exercise and the latest update will be happening on 30 October 2021.
