Quick answer: ACRA charges S$315 to set up a Singapore local company: S$15 for the business name application and S$300 for company registration. If you use Leftright Corporate, our published standard incorporation package is S$648 all-in, including the S$315 ACRA fees and 12 months of company secretary service. That leaves S$333 as our professional fee.

Your actual first-year cost can be higher if you need a registered office address, a resident nominee director, a work-pass application, bookkeeping or other services. The useful way to compare incorporation quotes is therefore not just to compare the headline setup price, but to separate government fees, professional fees, optional services and recurring annual costs.

Singapore company incorporation cost at a glance

Cost item Amount When it applies
ACRA business name application S$15 Required before company registration
ACRA company registration S$300 Required to register a local company
Leftright standard incorporation package S$648 total Includes the S$315 ACRA fees and 12 months of company secretary service
Registered office address S$245/year with Leftright Only if you do not have a qualifying Singapore address to use
Incorporation with nominee director S$2,495 total package For founders who do not have a Singapore-resident director
Incorporation with Employment Pass S$4,650 total package For founders relocating to Singapore through an Employment Pass route
Company secretary and ACRA annual return S$328/year with Leftright after the included first year Ongoing company-secretary service; includes the S$60 ACRA annual return fee
Bookkeeping From S$110/month When the company is trading and needs its transactions recorded

These are Leftright's published prices as at September 2026. The nominee-director and Employment Pass figures are complete alternative incorporation packages, not add-ons to the S$648 standard package.

The fixed ACRA government fee is S$315

For a standard Singapore local company, the government setup fee itself is straightforward. ACRA's current company service and transaction fee schedule lists:

  • S$15 to apply for a new business entity name; and
  • S$300 to register the new company.

That gives a total statutory setup fee of S$315. The S$15 name-application fee is non-refundable if the application is rejected or withdrawn. Most straightforward name applications are processed quickly, while names requiring further review or referral can take longer.

If you are still deciding on a name, our guide to choosing a Singapore company name explains the current ACRA rules and the checks worth doing before you file.

What does an incorporation provider charge for?

The S$315 ACRA fee is only the government filing cost. A professional incorporation service may also cover the work needed to prepare the company correctly, complete KYC and regulatory checks, prepare the registration documents and handle the filing.

With our Singapore company incorporation service, the published S$648 price includes:

  • the S$15 ACRA name application;
  • the S$300 ACRA company-registration fee;
  • 12 months of company secretary service;
  • company registration, UEN and Business Profile;
  • Model Constitution;
  • preparation of the registration forms;
  • first board meeting minutes;
  • resolution to open a bank account;
  • bank introductions and documentary support;
  • statutory registers; and
  • CorpPass setup guidance.

The arithmetic is therefore transparent: S$15 + S$300 + S$333 = S$648. We do not add GST to this published price.

Is a company secretary an incorporation cost?

Every Singapore company must have a company secretary. ACRA states that the secretary must be appointed within six months of successful registration. The legal requirement is the appointment itself, not a fixed government-mandated professional fee.

Our S$648 package includes the first 12 months of company secretary service from incorporation. From the next year, our published renewal is S$328 a year, including the S$60 ACRA annual return filing fee.

This is worth checking carefully when you compare providers. A lower headline incorporation price may exclude the company secretary, include only a short introductory period, or renew at a materially higher annual price.

Do you need to pay for a registered office address?

A Singapore company must have a registered office address in Singapore. You do not necessarily need to buy an address service. If you already have a qualifying Singapore address that can be used as the company's registered office, there may be no separate provider fee for this item.

If you need an address, Leftright's registered office service is S$245 a year, including mail handling. Our virtual office and registered-address service explains the available arrangement in more detail.

How much does incorporation cost for a foreign founder?

Foreign ownership does not change ACRA's S$315 company-registration fee. The difference is usually caused by the additional requirements around the company, particularly the resident-director requirement and, for founders relocating to Singapore, work-pass support.

If you already have a Singapore-resident director

If the company already has at least one director who meets ACRA's local residency rules, the standard incorporation route may be sufficient. The same S$315 ACRA government fee applies.

If you need a nominee director

Every company must have at least one director who is ordinarily resident in Singapore. If you do not have one, our nominee director incorporation package is S$2,495. This is a complete package that includes incorporation, nominee director service and 12 months of company secretary service.

It should not be calculated as S$648 plus S$2,495. The S$2,495 figure is the package total.

If you are incorporating as part of an Employment Pass plan

Our incorporation with Employment Pass package is S$4,650. It includes company incorporation, the Employment Pass application, two months of nominee director service and 12 months of company secretary service.

What other first-year costs can arise?

Company registration creates the legal entity. It does not automatically cover every service the business may need once it starts operating.

Business licences and permits

Some activities require sector-specific licences or permits. There is no single standard licence fee that applies to every Singapore company. ACRA's post-registration guidance directs businesses to check their licensing requirements through GoBusiness before starting regulated activities.

Bookkeeping and accounting

Once the company starts trading, its transactions need to be recorded and its accounting records maintained. Our bookkeeping service starts from S$110 a month, with annual packages starting from S$320 a year for lower-volume cases.

Financial statements and corporate tax compliance

These are separate from incorporation. The work required depends on the company's activity, financial position and available exemptions. Our published unaudited financial-statement service starts from S$350 a year, while corporate tax filing for active companies is S$500 a year.

If you prefer a bundled recurring service, our standard company compliance bundle covering company secretary, financial statements and tax filing is S$990 a year. Broader accounting and compliance packages start from S$1,310 a year.

First-year cost versus year-two cost

The first year is different because our S$648 incorporation package already includes 12 months of company secretary service. From the second year, the company moves into its normal recurring compliance cycle.

Recurring item Government or Leftright price Notes
ACRA annual return S$60 government fee ACRA charges this when the annual return is filed
Company secretary + annual return S$328/year with Leftright Includes the S$60 ACRA annual return fee
Registered office S$245/year if required No provider fee is needed if you have your own qualifying address
Unaudited financial statements From S$350/year Scope depends on the company's circumstances and available exemptions
Corporate tax filing S$500/year for active companies Separate from any corporate income tax actually payable
Bookkeeping From S$110/month Depends on transaction volume and bookkeeping frequency

ACRA's current fee schedule confirms that the annual return filing fee itself is S$60. That statutory fee should be distinguished from the professional work involved in maintaining the company's records, preparing resolutions and filing on its behalf.

What can a cheap incorporation package leave out?

A low headline price is not automatically a bad deal. It may simply describe a narrower service. Before comparing two quotes, check whether both prices include the same things.

  • Are the S$315 ACRA fees included or added later?
  • Is company secretary service included, and for how long?
  • What does the company secretary cost at renewal?
  • Is the S$60 annual return government fee included in the renewal?
  • Is a registered office address included or separate?
  • Are statutory registers and first board resolutions prepared?
  • Are bank-account opening documents and introductions included?
  • Are KYC or onboarding charges added separately?
  • Is GST added to the quoted price?
  • If a nominee director is needed, is the quoted figure an add-on or a complete incorporation package?

Comparing the full first-year invoice and the expected year-two renewal is usually more useful than comparing the first number shown on a pricing page.

Example first-year budgets

Local founder with a resident director and own registered office

With Leftright, the published incorporation cost is S$648. The S$315 ACRA fees and first 12 months of company secretary service are already included.

Founder who also needs a registered office

The standard S$648 incorporation package plus our S$245 registered office service gives a first-year total of S$893, before any bookkeeping, tax, accounting or industry-specific licence costs.

Foreign founder who needs a resident nominee director

Our published nominee-director incorporation package is S$2,495 total. If you also need a registered office, that address service is separate.

These examples are not universal market averages. They are transparent examples based on Leftright's current published prices, so you can see exactly what is being counted.

How much should you budget to incorporate a company in Singapore?

At the statutory level, budget S$315 for ACRA's name and registration fees. If you want professional incorporation support, compare providers based on what their package actually includes and what renews in year two.

For Leftright clients, the standard route is S$648 all-in, with the ACRA fees and 12 months of company secretary service included. Additional costs arise only when you need additional services such as a registered office, nominee director, work pass, bookkeeping or recurring compliance work.

Is S$315 the total cost of incorporating a company?

How much does Leftright charge for company incorporation?

Our standard published price is S$648 all-in. It includes the S$315 ACRA fees and 12 months of company secretary service. There is no GST added to this published price.

What is the annual ACRA fee after incorporation?
